ABOUT ME
Writer. Director. Filmmaker.
Shirley Napoleone is selfish. She wants to show the world her work and offer them a chance to escape from their mundane reality. Shirley started writing in grade school and hasn’t stopped since. Her love for movies has shifted her prose into scripts. She's written for the LA Times HSInsider, her nonfiction has won Honorable Mentions for the Scholastic Writing Awards, and she's been published in magazines such as Blood Moon Rising and 1888 Center. Shirley is an alumna from the Orange County School of the Arts for Creative Writing and is attending Cornish College of the Arts for Film. When she isn’t writing, she's either yelling at movie characters for dumb decisions, hunting ghosts, or curling up somewhere with a book and music. She writes everything under the sun for fantasy, and yet she keeps crawling her way back to horror. She takes great pride in scaring people, just pay no attention to her search history. Shirley lives permanently in a small town in Southern California that no one has heard of with her parents, two younger siblings, two dogs, a fish, and a crazy lizard.
